Scripture Reading We will read the Scriptures aloud every Wednesday in the Church at 12-1pm. You are welcome to attend for all or part of that time and to invite others to come too.

Christmas Forest Themed-Christmas trees will be on display at Kuirau Park (Dec 12), in conjunction with the Lions Club of Rotorua Geyserland's Carols by Candlelight, and at St Johns Church (Dec13-Dec 19).
The trees will be decorated by the following community groups: Alzheimer’s Society, Citizens Advice Bureau, China Friendship Society, CCS Disability Action BOP, Enliven Rotorua, Epilepsy Association NZ, ESOL Home Tutors, Family Works Northern, Leukemia and Blood Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Society Rotorua, Over Eaters Anonymous, Plunket, Red Cross, Riding for the Disabled, SPCA, Stroke Foundation, Sunbeams and the Youth Projects Trust.
This free event is being organised by St Johns Church to celebrate Christmas and promote the work of community groups and volunteers. Supported by John Paul College, Otonga School, Waiariki Visual Arts and Design, Hepburn Electrical, Ron Whiting Sandbag Hire and other valued service donors.

The Christmas Story This Christmas the children of St Johns will be performing a Nativity play on December 14 during the 9:30am combined services. We require help and assistance with costuming, props and materials. If you are able to help, please contact the church office.

Christmas Community Lunch We invite you to come for a shared Community Christmas Lunch on Dec 25 following our 9:30am Christmas Day Service.

Catering Team We are developing a Catering Team to respond to requests to provide refereshments following funerals and afternoon teas for weddings. If you are interested in joining this team, please contact the church office.

Care Box If you or someone you know would like some pastoral assistance, please drop a note in our Care Box located in the foyer. The box is cleared on Monday mornings.

Parents Coffee Group The Parents Coffee Group which meets Monday mornings 11am-12pm in the Café, invites you to a special devotion and morning tea. Everyone very welcome - crèche, good coffee and excellent company.

Operation Cover Up Statistics The ministry provides woolen blankets and garments for the children in orphanages in Romania, Ukraine and Moldova. This year an amazing 24 large blankets, 7 cot blankets, 116 bootees/slippers, 62 hats and 43 jerseys were delivered, as well as other clothing items from ST JOHNS knitters! Donations of wool and volunteer knitters are welcome. Contact the church office.

Café Our Café is a great place to invite friends or newcomers to join you for coffee. The Café is open following both morning services and S@tellite. We offer espresso and filter coffee and a selection of teas.
